It is with our utmost regrets that we have to announce that CRAVIS has closed all hosting services as of May 09, 2017. Our servers suffered a massive hacking attempt which despite of all our efforts managed to completely destroy everything on all our servers - all users data (all files, e-mails, databases, settings, etc.), all backups, etc - EVERYTHING was lost. As a result our hosting business was destroyed and CRAVIS is no longer able to offer any hosting service to customers. All recurring payments have already been stopped so there will not be any further billings. Our acceptable usage policy (which you have accepted when signing in for your hosting plan) clearly states that:

"1. CRAVIS reserves the right to refuse service or cancel existing accounts for any reason at any time.  In the event of an account cancellation by CRAVIS, CRAVIS will not issue a refund."

and also that:

"3. CRAVIS is not responsible for lost revenue, traffic, or data caused by server down time or failure, domain name transfers, or any other error - mechanical or human."

 However as a final gesture of good will to our customers we managed to refund all payments of the last two weeks (after April 23, 2017). It will not be possible to refund more payments so please do not contact us with such requests, the AUP clearly states that no refunds can be made.

 

 The domain names registered with us are intact and still functional, there were no issues with the domain name registration as that is a completely independent service. However as we no longer have functional DNS servers, the domain names which were using our nameservers are not resolving right now so we strongly recommend you switch the nameservers used. However as our domain name management interface was also destroyed, it is not possible to do this yourself, please contact us with your request and we will do it manually for you. Just provide us the names of the new nameservers.

 

From now on we will accept support requests concerning Domain name registration only. As all data has been destroyed and no data recovery would be possible, we will not answer any support requests about any data recovery.

Acceptabe Usage Policy

1. CRAVIS reserves the right to refuse service or cancel existing accounts for any reason at any time.  In the event of an account cancellation by CRAVIS, CRAVIS will not issue a refund. In the event of a hosting account cancellation, requested by the customer, CRAVIS will issue full refund only in the following cases:

- if the customer has not abused any of our policies and the request is submitted during the very first month of the service, i.e. within one month after placing the initial order. This is our One Month Money-Back Guarantee policy;

-if the customer has not abused any of our policies and the request is made within 7 days after any subsequent recurring payments.

If neither of the above two conditions applies, CRAVIS will not issue a refund.

 

2. CRAVIS reserves the right to change fees at any time.

 

3. CRAVIS is not responsible for lost revenue, traffic, or data caused by server down time or failure, domain name transfers, or any other error - mechanical or human.

 

4. Customers of CRAVIS are forbidden from partaking in an "abusive practice."  The following is a list of current abusive practices.  CRAVIS reserves the right to add to or modify this list at any time.

    Sending unsolicited commercial e-mail with your account.  Also, a violation is incurred if any unsolicited email is reported relating to your domain with us in anyway, regardless of what SMTP (outgoing mail server) was used to transmit the message.

    Upload, posting or reproducing in any way materials protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright holder.

Participating in an abusive practice will lead to an immediate account termination without prior notice or refund of any pre-payment.

 

5.) Customers of CRAVIS are bound to all system policies not specifically listed within this agreement.  A list of all policies can be found at http://www.cravis.com/policies/ and is also available via fax upon request.  Violation of any of these system policies will result in an immediate account cancellation without refund or access to hosted files.

 

6.) This agreement is not assignable or transferable without the express written consent of CRAVIS

 

7.) CRAVIS's hosting services may only be used for lawful purposes.  Transmission of any material in violation of any U.S. or any state regulation is prohibited.  This includes but is not limited to: copyrighted material, material legally judged to be threatening or obscene, or material protected by trade secret.

 

The client specifically agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CRAVIS from any claim resulting from a breach of these terms, and/or the use of the service which damages another.
